I just found a (dirty) solution for that 901 POST error.
If you got your firmware on an external USB thumbdrive and not on an internal SSD you might want to get rid of that metal Sata HDD/SSD caddy and that very small fan mounted underneath. But if that little fan is not connected to the mainboard, you will get that 901 error message on POST.
The solution is: Get such an JST connector (4Pin SH 1.0mm pitch micro JST) and connect the Tach to the PWM pin. GND and +5V stays unconnected. This tricks the mainboard into thinking that the small fan is installed and running.
